Fairy Princess Lanie and the Lost Gem

Fairy Princess Lanie lives in a soft green forest called the Enchanted Forest. She has tiny pink wings and a bright golden gem on her crown. Lanie loves to sing gentle songs that make flowers open and butterflies dance. One sunny day, Lanie wakes and sees that her golden gem is gone. She feels a little pang of worry. She touches her crown. The gem is gone. Oh dear. Lanie must find it. With a deep breath she whispers, “I will find my gem.” Then she calls her dearest friend, the Living Snowman. The Living Snowman lives near the icy brook. He is made of soft snow that never melts. Lanie asks him, “Will you help me find my lost gem?” Snowman nods and says in a jolly voice, “Yes, dear Lanie, I will help!” Next Lanie finds the brave Samurai. The Samurai wears soft wooden armor and has a small wooden sword. He moves with calm grace and a kind heart. He bows and says, “Your gem is safe. I will help you.” Together Lanie, Snowman, and Samurai walk under tall ferns and mossy stones. They sing, “Search, search, we search with care.” They look behind a red mushroom, under a blue leaf, beside the singing stream, inside a hollow log, above a sparkling pebble. They do not find the gem. They smile, hold hands, and keep looking. Suddenly they hear a soft scuff. They see a small Bandit hiding behind a tree. He wears a dark hat and holds the golden gem. He giggles and tiptoes away. “Stop!” calls Lanie. The Bandit runs. Snowman slides across soft moss. Samurai steps with strong calm. They chase the Bandit around twisting tree trunks and over gentle hills until he reaches a giant oak. The oak tree has wide low branches. The Bandit climbs up but the weight of the gem slips his hand. The gem falls with a bright twinkle and lands safely in Lanie’s arms. She catches it carefully. Lanie looks up and says gently, “Thank you for returning my gem.” The Bandit feels shy and says, “I was lonely. I wanted a treasure.” Lanie smiles and invites him to play. To celebrate, Lanie opens a small treasure chest hidden in a flower bed. Inside are bright sugar candies and tiny star cookies. She shares them with Snowman, Samurai, and the Bandit. They sit in a glowing clearing and eat sweets. They laugh softly under glowing lantern flowers. Lanie flutters her wings and says, “Friends help friends. Together we are happy.” When the sun begins to set, Lanie waves goodbye. She wears her golden gem once more and feels its warm glow. She flies back to her little home and whispers to the forest, “Thank you.” She closes her eyes, and dreams of new adventures with her friends. All is well in the Enchanted Forest.
