Beautiful Baby Samantha is a tiny apprentice witch. She lives in a gentle stone castle. She wears a soft purple hat. She carries a little wooden wand. She loves the blue sky and white clouds. She plays in the sunny yard. She waves her wand at fluttering butterflies. She smiles when they dance near her. One bright morning Samantha hears a soft tinkle. She looks up and she sees a little star. The star floats near a window. It glows silver and white. Samantha feels happy. She reaches out with her tiny hand. She touches the star and it feels warm. She says, “Hello, little star.” The star shimmers like a happy friend. Samantha puts the star in her small bag. She plans to show her friend Prince Andrew. She skips down the castle stairs. She passes a tall golden door. She passes a friendly cat. The cat purrs softly and brushes her leg. Samantha giggles. She says, “Thank you, kitty.” The cat nods and watches her go. Samantha opens the garden gate. She runs across green grass. She reaches a silver fountain. She sees Prince Andrew. He wears a little crown. He holds a wooden sword. He smiles at Samantha. “Hello, Samantha,” he says. “What do you have?” Samantha opens her bag. The star glows near her hand. Prince Andrew claps his hands. “A lost star!” he says. “Let us take it to the Crystal Guardian.” Samantha nods and follows him. They walk to a tall tower. The tower shines like glass. Inside the tower lives the Crystal Guardian. The Guardian is kind and gentle. She holds a glowing crystal staff. She greets them with a soft voice. “Welcome, little ones,” she says. Samantha and the prince show her the star. The star glows bright and happy in the crystal light. The Guardian says, “This star is from the night sky. It must return home.” Samantha feels a bit sad. She says, “But I like my new friend.” The Guardian smiles. “You are kind and brave. You will help it go home.” The Guardian raises her staff. A soft silver ladder appears in the tower shaft. It reaches up to the clouds. “Climb the ladder,” she says. Samantha hugs the little star. She climbs. Prince Andrew follows. High above the castle they climb into soft white clouds. They step onto a shining cloud path. They walk until they see the dark Sorcerer. He stands on a tall moonbeam. He frowns. He wants the star for his magic. He says, “Give me the star.” Samantha holds it close. She takes a small breath. She says, “Please let our star go home.” The Sorcerer snarls and raises his black wand. He casts a small shadow. He reaches for the star. Samantha waves her tiny wand. She feels brave and strong. A soft pink light shines from her wand. The Sorcerer steps back in surprise. Samantha smiles and steps forward. The Sorcerer lowers his wand. He says, “You are brave, little witch.” He waves his hand and the dark magic fades. Samantha offers the star to the sky. The star floats upward. It glows silver and soft pink. It shines bright in the dark blue sky. Samantha, Prince Andrew, and the Crystal Guardian cheer. They climb down the ladder together. Back in the tower the Queen waits. She holds a small silver crown. She says, “You have done well. You are brave and kind.” She places the little crown on Samantha’s hat. The princess hat sparkles. Samantha claps her hands. The star appears in small glass jar as a gift. It glows softly in Samantha’s room. Samantha feels happy and proud. She cuddles the jar and yawns. The little castle is quiet and warm. Samantha drifts to sleep with a smile. She dreams of new gentle adventures with her star friend.
